Serial film Harry Potter menghipnotis dunia. Film terakhir berjudul Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, berhasil mencetak rekor dunia.
Harry Potter telah mengeluarkan mantra terbesarnya dengan memecahkan rekor di hari pertama penayangan box office. Warner Bros seperti dilaporkan IMDB, menyatakan bahwa Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 meraup USD92,1 juta pada penayangan pertama, pekan lalu.
Rekor itu melampaui film The Twilight Saga: New Moon sebagai pemegang rekor sebelumnya yang berhasil mendapatkan USD72,7 juta di hari penayangan perdana dua tahun lalu.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 menambah USD75 juta dari 57 negara di luar Amerika pada Jumat lalu. Itu meningkatkan pendapatan jumlah internasional untuk USD157,5 juta sejak film dirilis Rabu pekan lalu. Total keseluruhan yang diperoleh dari seluruh dunia sekira USD250 juta.
Di Inggris sendiri pada hari pertama penayangan berhasil meraup USD14,8 juta. Warner Bros mengklaim, itu merupakan pencapaian terbesar sepanjang sejarah film di Inggris.
